The Kimberly Avenue off ramp and the right and center lanes od South I-95 were closed recently when a tractor-trailer went off the bridge of the exit 44 ramp. The noon accident took over three hours to clear.

According to the Hartford Courant:

Traffic was backed up northbound on I-95 to Exit 41, southbound traffic on I-95 was bumper-to-bumper all the way to the Pearl Harbor Memorial "Q-Bridge," and traffic on I-91 south backed up to Exit 3.

The truck came to a stop with the front of the cab on the ground and the end of the trailer still hanging on the bridge. The semi's driver and the driver of another car involved in the crash were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries were unknown.
