Naugatuck Car Accident Kills One, Injures Others

A man was ejected from his car in a crash on Route 63 on Monday evening, according to police.
Naugatuck police responded to a crash at the intersection of Route 63 and Mill Street and found two cars heavily damaged. Police said Edward Coelho, 57, of Naugatuck, was ejected from his Mercury Cougar and was transported to Waterbury Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Other people involved in the accident suffered injuries. Police continue to investigate the car accident. The cause of the accident has not been disclosed by the police as the investigation remains ongoing.
