In the fatal crash that led to an arrest yesterday as reported in this blog, the judge in the case has set a $3 million dollar bail on the defendant. The defendant is charged with second-degree manslaughter, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating while under suspension, failure to keep right and failure to wear a seat belt. Incredibly, this defendant has 3 previous DUI convictions and had served prison time for the convictions. He was also driving with a suspended license. The man he killed was a father of five.
