The woman is in stable condition at Hartford Hospital, police said. The woman was struck while crossing Hartford Turnpike in Vernon, CT. The accident remains under investigation.

She was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving the wrong way among other charges. Fortunately, no one was injured during the accident near exit 22 at 1:53 a.m.

Wendy Jenkins, 28, of Lovelace Drive, died in a head-on collision with another vehicle around 1:51 a.m., state police said. She was driving the wrong way on a highway ramp.
